I didn't think the DVD was bad by any means, but another one wouldn't hurt at all. They just aren't a mainstream type band, so Mike doesn't really give that much of shit as to the DVD extras and all that. I thought they did a decent job with what they had though. And the camera work wasn't the greatest... the black and white thing was cool at times, annoying at others. However, the camera work in the german dvd wasn't the best either. Mike would be mid solo and they'd just cut to the bassist or to dennis doing some rythem. It was like... you do realize the front man playing a solo is a lot more interesting than that right?

The guys who did the tv broadcast in germany were experts. The responsible persons filmed, mixed and cut alot of gigs the 20 years before this one. Have a look here: http://www.rockpalastarchiv.de/alpha/a.html
I don't believe the team who filmed LIOC had this experience and that's what you can see. The solo problem you can also see often enough in LIOC, were Jonny played the most melodic parts also alot of solos. But without driving stands it's hard to get some more action into a show, that's the problem plus the freaky b/w parts to make it more interesting.

I loved the Live in OC DVD and apparently so did alot of people because they sold a shitload of copies. I was just happy to have a live show recorded with SLRR in it. I have had more than one party with that DVD as backround music. I would be killer to have a DVD with more of a fan's viewpoint so you feel like you're at the show, though.
